YOUNG ADULT REVIEW: Blue Chameleon - Emily Gravett

BOOK BLURB:

He can turn himself into anything and appear to fit in anywhere, but it seems that neither the swirly snail, the green grasshopper nor the stripy sock want to be friends. Will he ever find someone to talk to? Someone just like him?

With a subtle and witty interplay between words and illustrations this introduction to colours and shapes (and chameleons!) is sure to delight everyone, from the youngest child upwards.

REVIEW:

I’m a huge fan of Emily Gravett’s work and as such just have to have the latest release as soon as possible. This one was no exception and what you got within was not only a wonderful story but one that will stand the test of time and replace the last unfortunate Chameleon novel out there where the poor guy ended up being stuck in tartan colours. Here in Emily’s novel we get a tale that will delight readers old and young giving the reader a great story accompanied by her unchallenged style of artwork. A must own and one that I know my nephew will love time and again.

YOUNG ADULT REVIEW: The Odd Egg - Emily Gravett

BOOK BLURB:

Duck is delighted to find an egg of his own to look after. It's the most beautiful egg in the whole world! But all the other birds think it's very odd indeed - and everyone's in for a BIG surprise when it finally hatches.

REVIEW:

If there is one name that constantly jumps out for the Young Adult illustrated books then its Emily Gravett, not only has she given the reader highly original but also beautifully created books but also managed to get her work in the top sellers of the year its been released. She really is a master and the Odd Egg carries on her quirky as well as fun books. Quite short but an absolute dream book that will soon become a firm favourite in the owners household. Great stuff.
