REVIEW:
Atlantis has kept fans of the Stargate franchise enthused since the original season. Although at times a number of them wavered this final season has pulled out all the stops and delivered what the fans have been demanding giving them a lot of twists, a good number of terms and character growth that made the parent series so addictive. What they also bring to this DVD series is a plethora of extras from commentaries for each and every episode through to extra’s such as Daniel Jackson's visit, an advert for Stargate Universe as well as mission directives and how to create a humanoid. It’s good fun and a real treat to get all these extra’s along with the obligatory deleted scenes. The only downside was the loss of Amanda Tapping (who left to make Sanctuary) and the sad demise of the series. It’s really come into its own. Add to the mix that they’re also shortly to release every season on one handy box set and it could be an absolute corker to keep certain family members occupied over the next few weeks.
