GRAPHIC NOVEL REVIEW: Tank Girl: Carioca - Alan C Martin and Mike McMahon

Release Date: 26/10/12

SYNOPSIS:

Tank Girl returns again in a brand new graphic novel written by original co-creator Alan Martin with artwork by the amazing Mike McMahon (Judge Dredd)! After our heroine is rudely snubbed on a TV game show, she plots the death of the vulgar host in question — unwittingly releasing the vengeance of his embittered wife and a gang of highly trained assassins as a result!

REVIEW:

Tank Girl is a graphic novel for those of a certain age (mainly those that remember the Madchester scene) and to be honest it’s a lot of fun that gives you a laughter, huge bloodshed from the Anarchic Girl that entertains on so many levels. The artwork is bright and vibrant and whilst the images may seem childlike to a few readers, its more about the portrayal of fun that brings it all over wonderfully.

Add to this a real kick ass storyline, a whole set of twists that work from the original script and all in its going to take the reader on a journey that will keep them glued to the last page.
