FANTASY REVIEW: Dragon Age 3: Dragon Age: Asunder - David Gaider

Release Date: 23/12/11

SYNOPSIS:

A mystical killer stalks the halls of the White Spire, the heart of templar power in the mighty Orlesian Empire. To prove his innocence, Adrian reluctantly embarks on a journey into the western wastelands that will not only reveal much more than he bargained for but change the fate of his fellow mages forever.

REVIEW:

If you’re a fan of the games or the previous two titles this new book is an absolute corker as it starts shortly after the end of the first game. It’s well written, the prose top notch and David Gaider really does give the reader what they want in this imaginative as well as dangerous world.

Add to this great pace, a wonderful control of the lulls as well as peaks of combat which when blended with an authorly voice that gives the reader exactly what they want which will more than entertain, although to be honest you have to expect perhaps a change or two to the outline from the game as some of your choices you made will have given you differing results. Still, that said, a satisfactory read and one that I really enjoyed, so much so that a complete replay will be in action shortly.
