URBAN FANTASY REVIEW: Married with Zombies - Jesse Pettersen

Release Date: 03/02/11

SYNOPSIS:

Meet Sarah and David. Sarah and David are like any other couple. They met, they fell in love, but now they're on the verge of divorce. On a routine trip to the marriage counsellor, they notice a few odd things -- the lack of cars on the road, the missing security guard, and the fact that their counsellor, Dr Kelly, is ripping out her previous client's throat. Meet the zombies. Now, Sarah and David are fighting for survival in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. But just because there are zombies, it doesn't mean your other problems go away. And if the zombies don't eat their brains, they might just kill each other.

REVIEW:

I love books that split from the norm (if there is such a thing) and this title is one that fans of Zombies and Urban Fantasy will just love. It’s a tale of love conquering all and how a good old zombie murder spree can save your marriage (not that we’re encouraging anyone to create the pathogen in order to start the plague themselves. LOL) Beautifully written, this title will have you laughing, admitting your faults and above all else allows you to live (through the characters) a life to which you’d only dreamed (or possibly nightmared) about. After all lets face it who hasn’t thought about rampaging through a mall ala Romero.

All in a great book and one that whilst short will keep the reader highly entertained from start to finish. Back that up with a couple that you can associate in one way or another which when backed with great prose and wonderful dialogue makes this an opener for a series that will soon attract many fans. Great stuff.

This looks very interesting. Even if the zombit thing is getting a little old, I like this idea.
