REVIEW:
Sadly the end of this series and to be honest it was one that I not only enjoyed but devoured with every single outing as both John and Jennifer masterfully wove a tale of complexities, emotional alongside physically trauma's whilst maintaining character integrity and believability.
The prose was always spot on, the high octane moments left you breathless and wihen that final page turned there was not only the feeling of elation but of loss for the tale had ended.
All round a cracking series and one that I really hope that you try. You won't be disappointed .

The new novel in the Chronicles of the Invaders series and whilst I loved the original I’m always a little apprehensive of the second outing purely for the fact that with most novels being part of a trilogy, its usually the second that not only lacks pace but also loses things a little in order to give the third and final part a real kickass plotline.
So what do you get from this title?
Whilst it is a little slow to start with and with what felt like something that was out of sorts with what occurred within the original, the reader is treated to an overall arc that not only adds new life to the world with characters but also one that helps to build upon what’s gone before. It has a solid arc, and whilst the pace does suffer within in parts, the overall pieces go on to make a greater whole that really does bring you in. It is a reasonable enough release and whilst it will leave you wanting more, the wait for the third instalment is going to keep you guessing which for me is a good part of the fun.

REVIEW:
I like books that take me on a journey, and whilst this is something new for fans of John Connolly it brings his talents to the young adult audience alongside all those magical ingredients that he bring to his other characters. Firstly you have great lead characters, they work well within the world, have so many facets that readers will forge links almost instantly.
Add to this top notch prose, some great twists, backed up with cracking pace and all round you can’t go wrong. Definitely a new string to his bow with the plotline being seamless between the authors. All round cracking fun.
