REVIEW:
I love to spend my time in a book where I can never be sure whats around the corner, and to be honest Thomas is one of those authors that no matter what he turns his hand to delivers on that promise. The writing is crisp, the characters good fun to hang around and whilst I loved all of them, I now want a book with a certain Gran as the titles principle character..
The plot has a great number of twists linking organisations and people together as well as allowing the characters of each to come to the fore as each players past events war against their professionalism as well as beliefs. All round a cracking read and one that I hope will be a start to a cracking new series. Great fun.

REVIEW:
OK, I’m coming at this as someone who hasn’t read Faith’s work before but as I tend to love a lot of Urban Fantasy short stories felt that it would be worth a go and to be honest with you, I’m more than happy I did. The central character Jane Yellowrock is feisty, kickass, smart aleck type of heroine who discovers herself from the first short story onwards. It’s lovely to dip into various aspects of her life between books and then when you get tales from sub characters that feel almost like family, it really made it more than rewarding.
Add to this great prose, top notch action sequences alongside well thought out plot as well as dialogue and all round I was more than a happy reader. So much so that now I’m going to have to pick up the full Jane Yellowrock series just to spend more time with her. I can’t wait for the new series that she’s starting this year. Magic.

I love a book that has something that is not only fun but takes a different tack to a lot of the others out there. Here within the pages, the reader gets a cracking crime title (with a feel of Ocean’s Eleven within), some wonderful prose and top notch pace all tied up in the Urban Fantasy genre.
It’s quirky, it has some cracking principle players and for me the real pay off are the villains. It’s a great counter to the heroes and really adds something novel to the title. Back this up all round with a cracking overall arc and the fact that the reader has the chance for future releases featuring this cast and all round it’s a cracking start to a new series. Magic
