REVIEW:
In a world full of chaos where at times, it feels that every spare second is accounted and that you have next to no free time then you know it’s time to get an audio book. After all you can always squeeze it in on the drive to work, during your lunch hour or even whilst taking public transport or household chores. It’s a great way to enjoy a title without having to stay still. Of all the audio books out there, the ones that tend to give me the most pleasure are the ones from the Black Library as they’ve hired top vocal talent, have dark gritty tales and when blended with background music and sound effects they take me away to another place.
This title, a story by James Swallow, takes us back to the Horus Heresy where Garro is seeking a select few chosen ones for a mission that even he has no idea about the importance. It’s beautifully told, the combat stunning and with a great plot line the reader will be highly entertained. All in a lot of fun for me and something that clearly demonstrates that the medium is often underused.
