Release Date: 13/09/12

SYNOPSIS:

Gavin Guile is dying. He'd thought he had five years left - now he's got less than one. With fifty thousand refugees, a bastard son and an ex-fiancee who may have learned his darkest secret, Gavin's got problems on every side. As he loses control of his magic, all magic is running wild, threatening to destroy the Seven Satrapies. The old gods are being reborn. Their army of color wights is unstoppable, and the only salvation may be the brother whose freedom and life Gavin stole sixteen years ago.

REVIEW:

Brent Weeks is a fantasy author that I’ve got a lot of time for as I really enjoy his writing style. Here in the second instalment of his Night Angel series the reader is thrust again into this imaginative world which the author continues to expand upon whilst allowing the reader to get a kick-ass high octane story full of twists and turns that will keep them guessing.

As with his other books, the writing is crisp, the prose ideal and when added to his no prisoners style really makes this a series to watch as you’ll love all the multifaceted characters within the pages. Back that up with a huge subplot alongside this tales arc and the reader will be left in no doubt that its building for one hell of a showdown. Great stuff.
