Release Date: 30/08/12
SYNOPSIS:
When you're as big and rough as Jack Reacher - and you have a badly-set, freshly-busted nose, patched with silver duct tape - it isn't easy to hitch a ride. But Reacher has some unfinished business in Virginia, so he doesn't quit. And at last, he's picked up by three strangers - two men and a woman. But within minutes it becomes clear they're all lying about everything - and then they run into a police roadblock on the highway. There has been an incident, and the cops are looking for the bad guys...Will they get through because the three are innocent? Or because the three are now four? Is Reacher just a decoy?
REVIEW:
As a huge fan of Jack Reacher (thanks to my Grandad) I really couldn’t wait to get the latest title in the series as for me, Lee is an author who hits the spot when I want some high octane action adventure. What occurs within continues in the usual vein as Jack has to help an FBI agent solve a murder with the usual sass of Reacher which when blended with the characterisation within of the secondary characters helped blend the emotional aspect which also counteracted the explosiveness of Reacher in general.
Add to this the usual trademarks of the author with no nonsense prose where each word is calculated to give the maximum impact with solid pace and of course cracking dialogue which all in generates a story that really will hit the spot. Great stuff and in case Lee is reading this, I also bought my Grandfather a cracking bottle of Bruidladdich (Second Reserve) to enjoy alongside this title to make it even more memorable.
